Nikon Opens Educational site on Flickr
August 24, 2007 By Kristen Nicole On MashableNikon has teamed up with Flickr to launch a sponsored educational activity on the photo-sharing site, called the Nikon Digital Learning Center.
This will provide tips and tutorials for photographers, as well as a space for photographers to discuss related topics with Nikon School instructors Reed Hoffman and Bill Durrence in a live chat. Professional photographers Rosanne Pennella and Cliff Mautner will also be making themselves available for live chats through this educational learning center as well.
This is a great way for camera companies to grow brand loyalty and increase recognition, and what better place to do this than Flickr? Pentax is another camera company that’s taking a social approach to promoting its own products, launching a selective, community-voted gallery of photographers.
