The Japanese blog, Macotakara recently brought to our attention NoteBookCase for iPad 2, a new case that converts an iPad into a mini laptop. The case features a Lithium-polymer auxiliary battery in the body to extend intervals between charges, a full size bluetooth-enabled keyboard, USB portand mini USB port.
Available on Japanese retailer Rakuten and Amazon for 5,980 yen (or approximately $75), the description specifies that the case is not compatible with the new iPad, but we think with the minimal size difference of the new iPad might mean it’s compatible, too.

Sometimes, you may just want to listen to your music in peace, without being interrupted by passers-by or visually intrusive ads, technology and surrounding events. That’s when you need a pair of the OneSense concept headphones that not only cover your ears, but also across your eyes. The bright red design and intimidating spikes will definitely make people think twice before approaching you.
The OneSense headphones were created by designer Joe Doucet and will be exhibited at the Meet My Project event in Milan, Italy, April 17-21.
Doucet explained that:
“In an age where technology allows for a constant bombardment on our senses, where tablet computers and smartphones mean we are reachable 24/7, One Sense symbolises the human need for periods of peace and tranquility. One Sense not only obscures environmental sight and sound from encroaching on the wearer, but utilises the color red and a display of spikes, drawn from nature’s symbols for warning and defence, to alert others not to intrude.”

Luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz unveiled plans to integrate Apple’s Siri into its A-Class electronics system that would allow drivers access to their iPhone apps using voice commands. The program, called the Drive Kit Plus will work in conjunction with Mercedes-Benz’s Digital DriveStyle App to translate the iPhone’s screen onto the in-car system screen. Drivers will be able to listen to music, change radio channels, update status on social networks, and send text messages. The Drive Kit Plus will come preinstalled with popular apps such as Twitter, Facebook, and Aupeo Personal Radio. Users can then add and control other apps via their iPhones. Another exciting feature is the integration of a Garmin navigation system that is operable through Siri as well.
Using Siri’s natural voice commands, Mercedes-Benz is the first carmaker to integrate the Apple’s technology into a vehicle’s  electronic platform. The new feature will debut in the 2012 Geneva auto show next month and will roll out in all A-Class vehicles beginning this fall.
