10. Steve Jobs, 1983, Rainbow by Susan Kare

Finally, former Apple designer Susan Kare pays tribute to her old boss with this striking signed and numbered print.

Described as "an icon in 32 x 32 pixels," the image is said to have been "created using MacPaint on the original Macintosh computer while the subject posed for his portrait."

Kare chose to place Jobs on a rainbow background with colors in the Apple order. Legend has it that Jobs wanted the design to be multi-colored as he felt is helped to "humanize" Apple.

From 1976 to 1998 Apple‘s logo was a technicolor, rainbow-hued apple with a bite out of it. Although Apple toned things down a bit in the late ’90s, many have a fondness for the classic version of the company emblem.

The iconic design, created by Ron Janoff, can still be seen today — 36 years after the original design’s debut — on fan-made items and carefully preserved vintage accessories.
