It’s time to round up the hottest new releases and updates of the week! From lightning fast tagging, to making music, to learning about the universe, we have you covered.
App Updates
Shazam: Shazam, the music tagging service for when you can’t remember the name of that song, has just released an update adding lightning fast tagging. So now you can find out who that is on the radio even faster.
Evernote Food: Evernote Food, the app that lets you snap shots of your favorite meals, and share them with friends, has just been updated. The developers have added features like My Places, customized locations you might go to regularly, a search feature, and a place finder. Plus much more!
New Apps
Figure: This is a simple music creator that will be fun for both the advanced, and amateur musician. Tap and swipe your finger to create awesome beats. Right now there is no way to create more then one track at a time, and there’s also no share option. Two things we’re hoping to get in the future. But, don’t let that deter you — Figure is awesome!
National Geographic Today: National Geographic Today brings gorgeous photos, videos, and news to your iPad in an immersive and interactive experience. View what’s happening today, or over the last seven days, and all the content is free.
App of the Week
Brian Cox’s Wonders of the Universe: Brian Cox’s Wonders of the Universe snagged the spot as App of the Week. Learn about the universe in incredible detail. Swipe and pinch your way around the planets, read background info, and learn more in a few minutes than you would in a year of science class. It’s gorgeous, and incredibly educational.
