LOS ANGELES: "Saving Face" won the Oscar for documentary short at the 84th Academy Awards on Monday.
The Pakistani film director Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy and producer Dan Junge arrived at the ceremony of the 10 Academy Award-nominated films in the Feature Documentary and Documentary Short.
The film follows British plastic surgeon Dr. Mohammad Jawad, who returns to his homeland to help victims of acid burns. The film features one woman as she fights to see that the perpetrators of the crime are imprisoned for life.-- GETbyU
